It is very easy to create your Home Guru account. All you need to do is click on the Join button, enter your details, and accept the terms and conditions. On clicking the Join button, you will receive an email to activate your account. Alternatively, you can also sign up using your Facebook, Twitter, or Gmail accounts. 

There are three ways to contact us:

  1. You can click on our ‘Contact Us’ page and provide your details. Once you submit this, our team will get back to you via email.
  2. You can also chat with us using our chat feature and leave us your information. One of our customer support representatives will contact you.
  3. You can send an email to support@homeguru.net.

Yes, you can. Our website can be translated into almost all top international languages. Click on the default ‘English’ tab on the right top corner of the page. Choose your desired language from the drop-down. We have our website available in more than 100 languages.

On the ‘Profile’ tab, click on ‘My Profile’. Now choose ‘Subscriber Settings’. Turn off the toggle for receiving notification emails. However, we recommend that you keep the email notifications on.

Services under technical, non-technical, and lifestyle categories are available on Home Guru. Some of the top categories to offer your services are in the Lifestyle space.

We are a premium platform in the lifestyle domain to connect skilled trainers and enthusiastic learners. If there is someone who can benefit from your skills, we help you reach them out through the Home Guru platform.

From the ‘Services’ tab, choose ‘Offer a Service’. Enter the name of your service, your price, delivery duration, and choose the category it belongs to. You can add a detailed description, images, and video links on this page.

        If you have already posted an active service as a trainer and want to edit it, the process is quite simple. Click on your profile and choose ‘My Jobs’. You can now see all your active services here. Click on the edit symbol on the service you want to tweak. All aspects of the service can be modified. In the same way, you can also pause or archive a service easily. <Test whether edit requires an approval again> <if approval isn’t there then the user should delete the service and add again>

On your ‘Profile’ tab, click ‘My Invoices’. You can view your invoices. These can be sorted based on the date and total amount. Your invoices will have the fee, the payment type, and the status of the payments mentioned.     

There are two ways you can receive your payments from Home Guru:

  1. Money transfer to your verified bank account
  2. Money transfer through PayPal

You can update your payment settings in your profile by navigating to ‘Payment Method’. At any point, you can add/edit the payment method details from there.

When you click on ‘Dashboard’ on the ‘Profile’ tab, your total balance is clearly mentioned. This is a total of your working, available, and pending balances.              

Click on the ‘WITHDRAW NOW’ button and you can easily transfer the money to your personal account.

Showing your credentials and certificates to your learners helps you get an edge over other trainers in the system. Click on ‘My Profile’ on your ‘Profile’ tab and you can upload credentials and/or certificates there. These files will be visible on your profile when a learner visits your profile page on our website.

Home Guru charges a very nominal amount as a commission.

You can offer your training services primarily for lifestyle as well as technical and non-technical skills. You can teach music to learners or train them in digital marketing. If you are a graphic expert, you can offer graphics and logo designing services too.

Dog trainers can find work on our website and so do transcription experts. Whichever domain you are skilled in, you can offer your services on Home Guru’s platform.

Delivering service happens in two ways. For lifestyle services that span over multiple sessions, we recommend trainers to opt for video calls. But, if you are offering a service that doesn’t require live online interaction, then you can also deliver your work through our inbuilt chat.

You can make use of our internal chat to connect to the customer. Once your service is opted for, the customer can reach you out through messages on Home Guru’s platform. You can respond to these messages and also attach documents and images that will help the learner.

Once a learner has ordered your service, you will receive an email notification from Home Guru on your

registered email id.

Since our platform provides a secured platform for payment, it is recommended that you do not share any of your personal contact details with the customer.

Whatever you earn, you can withdraw it at any time with no minimum limit. Alternatively, you can also avail a service of your interest with the amount in your wallet.

No, Home Guru doesn’t charge anything apart from the commission.

There are a variety of services offered by experienced trainers on Home Guru. In the ‘Services’ tab, click on ‘hire a service’. You can filter the options based on the categories, language, and price. Choose the service that you want. Read through the descriptions and click ‘ORDER NOW’. Verify the extras and fees and then click ‘CHECKOUT NOW’.

Once you checkout a particular service, the Home Guru system takes you to our secure payment gateway.         

    You can choose from the below payment modes and complete your purchase:

  • PayPal
  • 2CHECKOUT
  • STRIPE

In your ‘Profile’ tab, click on ‘My Orders’. Here you can see a list of all your past and existing orders.       

      You can filter them based on their status.

        You can customize an existing service based on your requirements. Click on a service offered by a trainer. You can see the ‘Send Custom Order’ tab on the right side below the ‘ORDER NOW’ button. Click on it. Give a detailed description of what you want, your budget, and your required delivery day & time. You can also attach some reference documents or images to help the trainer to understand your specific requirements. Now click on ‘SEND’ button.

        You can send messages to a trainer using the ‘Send Custom Order’ tab on a service order page. Once you initiate a conversation, you can see it in your ‘Messages’ tab sandwiched between the notifications and the profile icon on the Home page. When you click on the message, you can read the contents. You can also send more messages and attachments there.

We do not recommend that you contact trainers outside of Home Guru’s website to keep the transactions safe. Our internal messaging system makes it easy for you to reach out to your trainers anytime.

The order gets approved once all quality checks are done and it usually happens within 6 hours once a service order is placed.

Depending upon the nature of service, it will be delivered.

If the service offer posted does not adhere to Home Guru’s terms and conditions or if it contains obscene or offensive language or content, then your service post can get deleted. We will email you with the rejected notification along with the reason for the rejection.

Every service order has a waiting duration within which you can complete the task or raise a dispute. When that time frame passes, the service is automatically marked as ‘finished’ and closed by the system. You can get in touch with us with the order details in case you have further issues.

If you have an issue about the service and are not able to resolve it with the earner, you can raise a dispute on the active service. Once a dispute is raised, we will inform both the earner and the learner about the same, review the issue and get back within 36 hours.

Your custom service order can be rejected by the learner if he/she has a problem with it. We will send you an email when this happens along with the reason for the same. You can contact our team if you are not satisfied with the rejection or if you want more details on the same.

If you are not satisfied with the service and are not able to resolve it with the earner, you can raise a dispute with Home Guru’s admin team. Once your dispute is recorded, we will inform the earner about the same and disputes are addressed by our internal team, usually within 36 hours. If you win the dispute, your money will be refunded.

If the earner does not complete the service on time or if the learner is not satisfied with the quality of service, a dispute can be raised to the admin of HomeGuru. Similarly, if a learner rejects an earner’s honest work without the right reasons, the earner can also raise a dispute request with Home Guru’s admin.

Once a dispute is raised, our internal teams analyse the situation, talk to both the earner and the learner, and come to a consensus. If the earner wins the dispute, the money will be transferred to the earner’s Home Guru account and can be withdrawn from there. In case the learner wins, the payment will be transferred to the learner’s account based on his/her original payment mode.
